A prop firm with no challenge sells a funded account outright; you pay more upfront — Alpha Futures charges $349 for 25K Direct versus $89 a month for its 25K Zero evaluation.

What “no challenge” actually removes
A prop firm no challenge account deletes one stage: the profit target you must hit before the firm calls you funded. Everything that governs the funded account stays in place, and at some firms it gets tighter.
Removed
- The pass-the-test profit target and the days spent chasing it.
- The recurring fee that keeps an evaluation open — $89 a month for Alpha Futures 25K Zero.
Still there
- Drawdown — Alpha Futures Direct 25K: end-of-day loss limit $1,000, daily limit $500.
- A payout gate — $1,500 profit before the first 25K payout at Alpha Futures; 14 days after the first trade at Instant Funding.
- Consistency, where it exists — 20% on Alpha Futures Direct, none on its Zero Qualified account.
That last line is the surprise. At Alpha Futures, the account you reach by passing Zero carries no consistency rule, while the one you buy directly caps any single day at 20% of profit. Lucid describes the same trade in its FAQ:
“Straight-to-Funded accounts skip the evaluation entirely. You pay a higher upfront cost… this path comes with stricter rules and longer payout timelines.”Lucid Trading FAQ, page copy of 05 Sep 2026
So the extra money buys time, not easier rules. The LucidDIRECT straight-to-funded route has its own review.

How a prop firm challenge works — and why most fail it
A prop firm challenge is a paid test: you hit a profit target without breaking the loss limits, and only then receive a funded account. Most attempts end before the target.
Pay for an attempt
A one-time fee or, at Alpha Futures Zero, $89 a month for 25K; a failed attempt can be reset for $79.Hit the target inside the limits
Daily and maximum loss limits apply from the first trade; one bad session ends the attempt.Move to funded
Then the funded-stage rules begin: payout gate, drawdown and, where the firm uses one, consistency.
Tradeify is the only firm in our roster that publishes what happens next. Its Trader Performance Statistics cover Aug 2025 – Jul 2026 and its evaluation products (Growth, Advanced, Select), not Lightning:
- 17.2%
- 40.3%
- 28.5%
- 3.0%
Bar length = the published percentage; each figure has its own base (accounts, participants or funded participants).
Read the first two numbers together. Fewer than one account in five was completed, yet 40.3% of people got through — because the typical participant bought several attempts: the median was three evaluations or resets per person. The challenge filters by persistence as much as by skill, and every retry is paid. That repeated cost is exactly what a no-challenge account replaces.

The math: Direct price vs repeated evaluations
On average, the evaluation route costs the price of one attempt divided by your chance of passing it. Compare that figure with the one-off Direct price.
- Evaluation route$89 / 0.172 ≈ $51725K Zero price ÷ Tradeify completion rate
- Direct route$34925K Direct Qualified, one payment
- Break-even pass rate$89 / $349 ≈ 0.255above this, the evaluation is cheaper
Expected cost ≈ price per attempt ÷ probability of passing
Plug in the published numbers and the evaluation path averages about $517 against $349 for 25K Direct at the same firm, both prices as of 24 Sep 2026. One caveat matters: 17.2% is Tradeify's completion rate for its own products, not Alpha Futures'. Alpha does not publish one, so treat this as a thought experiment, not a forecast.
Resets lower the bill. If the first attempt costs $89 and each retry is a $79 reset, the expected cost is $89 + $79 × (1/0.172 − 1) ≈ $469 — still above $349. The break-even flips the answer: pass more often than about one attempt in four and the evaluation is cheaper on average. Even three full $89 attempts, Tradeify's median, add up to $267.
The Direct price buys no certainty either: the 25K account still needs $1,500 of profit before the first payout. Every size is broken down in our Alpha Futures Direct price and rules review.

Who should skip the challenge
Skip the prop firm challenge only if you already have a tested strategy, value starting the day you pay, and can live with stricter payout rules.
- FitsA trader with a track record who wants to start now — Lucid says a direct account can trade 5-15 minutes after purchase — and who has read the payout gate before paying.
- Does notA beginner. Rules are tighter after a direct purchase, and at Tradeify only 28.5% of funded participants received a payout in Aug 2025 – Jul 2026. Getting funded is not the hard part.
Market matters as much as experience: Instant Funding and Alpha Capital sell forex-CFD accounts, while Tradeify, Alpha Futures and Lucid sell futures. Two columns decide most choices. Market splits the field in two: forex-CFD at Instant Funding and Alpha Capital, futures at the other three. First payout shows what the direct price really buys — at best a 5-day cycle, at worst a longer wait than the evaluation route, in Lucid's own words. Alpha Capital does not print its Direct payout terms on the homepage, so we list its general schedule and mark the gap rather than guess.
FAQ
Is there a prop firm with no challenge?
Yes. On 24 Sep 2026 Instant Funding, Tradeify (Lightning Funded), Alpha Futures (Direct), Alpha Capital Group (Alpha Direct Qualified) and Lucid (LucidDIRECT) sold accounts with no challenge.
Is a no-challenge account more expensive?
Usually. Alpha Futures listed $349 for 25K Direct versus $89 a month for its 25K Zero evaluation, and Lucid says its straight-to-funded route costs more.
What percentage of traders pass a prop firm challenge?
Tradeify is the only firm in our list that publishes it: 17.2% of evaluation accounts were completed between Aug 2025 and Jul 2026.
Is no challenge better for beginners?
Rarely. Rules are often stricter after a direct purchase, and at Tradeify only 28.5% of funded participants received a payout.
When is buying an evaluation cheaper?
When your chance of passing is high. At Alpha Futures prices, an evaluation is cheaper on average if you pass more than about one in four attempts ($89 / $349 ≈ 0.255), ignoring resets.
Can I get paid on day one without a challenge?
Not at the firms we checked: Instant Funding waits 14 days, Tradeify Lightning pays on 5-day cycles and Alpha Futures Direct needs $1,500 profit on 25K first.
Verdict: no challenge buys time, not a payout
A prop firm with no challenge sells you time: you skip the target and the retries, and you start trading the day you pay. It does not raise your chance of a payout — the drawdown, the payout gate and often a stricter rule set are still waiting. On published numbers, the direct route is cheaper only if you would pass fewer than one attempt in four. If that is you, Alpha Futures Direct shows its price upfront; if not, an evaluation is the better deal.
